I don't like the idea of prog-charts because of the folllowing reasons:

1.) There exist so many prog-styles out there, so 2 lists wouldn't be enough. Besides you had to split for example the classic style into pieces (just take this example: Gentle Giant and King Crimson are both classic-progressive-rock but they don't resemble in any kind).

Thus you had to prepare for example these Chart-lists:

Classic-Progressive Rock
Jazz-Rock
Kraut Rock
Modern prog
Neo-Prog
Progressive Metal
Psychadelic Rock
Zeuhl
e.t.c. e.t.c. e.t.c......

2.) To be serious, I'm not interested in how many people listen to which band/song... So in my opinion prog-charts would be really superfluous.

I'd be actually quite happy... At least I woulden't have 2 argue about DT or any Prog metal with Classic prog fans.... They don't understand My Muisc, I don't understand their.. but still we argue... what leads only 2 more missunderstanding

Do you think it would a good idea to have 2 lists? A classic list for albums over a certain age and a modern list for newer albums ?
