Little Richard firing on all cylinders was a spectacle that little could match for sheer excitement, then or now. There was really nobody like him.

RIP

I will add Eddie Cochran into this great list. Like personally also a lot Gene Vincent & Johnny Burnette, but theyīre not as important to rock music than those others. Also, when there is B B King have to mention also Charley Patton, Robert Johnson, Howlin Wolf, Muddy Waters & John Lee Hooker.

Well, I will catch up by phone with my father tomorrow morning, but I know he will be deeply touched by this news, as one of the generation who were transformed as teenagers by this man and the other pioneers.

Unquestionably one of the biggest and greatest music icons ever. I guess they all have to go sometime. But the name "Little Richard" will NEVER be forgotten.

Rest In Peace

Is it any wonder that the monkey's confused?

I think we can now say R`n`R died today...but I hope Stones & Jon Spencer continue to keep it alive!
Little Richardīs second album (that I am going to put in spinning right now) is the greatest Rīn`R album IMO! I donīt think Rīn`R would have ever sounded as great without him!
R.I.P!

The last man standing, of the black american pioneers of 50s popular music, Fats Dominos, Ray Charles, Chuck Berrys, James Brown and Little Richard, those cats that tought us how to move and groove to the beat, to jump and to screem, to play your ass of stil with a ton of grace.

Richard was the person and the artist that gave rock its wildness, its puls, its energy and charisma. So thank you for your music and now your free to create a hell of a show in the sky.
