The 15 year old Jared when it was released... 90125
The 56 year old Jared... Fragile still gets listened to periodically, I'd be quite content never to hear 90125 again

Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

I vote "Both equally" though I do very very slightly prefer 90125 a garden of utter bliss, it evokes what I enjoy the most in a modern city, including being in a room with LCD screens/LED of various kind of gear
Fragile's cover did a lot for the way I listen to it I guess ! It evokes fresh-air, pine-trees on limestone Inner-teenager commenting |

Fragile indeed !
To my eyes ( ears? )both LPs never fought in the same league. The first is a milestone of rock music while the second is an honest FM product Edited by mellotronwave - September 13 2024 at 13:54 |

I prefer 90125,
I like it a lot, I love to listen to that album, especially side A. In my reviews, 90125 and Fragile got 8.5/10. Fragile: It's a very good album but I dont like it very much. The instrumental pieces are very naive. But from an artistic point of view, Fragile is more important in the Yes career... That's a fact. Heart of the Sunrise is possibly my Yes song favourite... So, I dont know... Both equally

I prefer Big Generator over 90125. There's more epic and deep material on it. They weren't afraid to go further with the "owner of a lonely heart" style thing with "love will find a way" and "rhythm of love" but there's also stuff much closer to their seventies prog sound.

90125 is one of Yes' best albums...if we invert the rankings, that is. At least it's a better offering than Big Generator.
Fragile wins this one easily. |

Two random guys agreed to shake hands. Just Because. They felt like it, you know. It was an agreement of sorts...a random agreement.

I voted for Fragile , but for me it was closer for me than many might think. 90125 really got my Yes journey started (or at least re-booted) Plus, except for Mood for a day, I don't love all the solo pieces that much.
The main songs do make it a great album however.
