Oh yes, PS, the output can easily be attenuated.

The Grand Plan - use an analogue to DMX controller, make freaky lightshow controlled by enormous modular synth, part of which is below. 

Well. Synth is nearly done (this is two thirds of it) and I'm looking to do something different other than continuous soldering. 

Anyone got experience of analogue to DMX ? Voltage range here is 0 - 10v.
