Usually proggers are thinkers, "stonerds", smart, lived in the 70s or musicians.

I can't believe no one voted for 'dreamers and outcasts...'. Come one, one can't be more of a social outcast with tastes like mine:
- Prog rock: This is absolutly THE MOST despised and unfashionable music today. Hell, even the Easter processional marches from Seville are more widely accepted.
- Pre-Raphalites: Please, can someone tell me a most unfashinable pictorial school nowadays?
- Fantasy: This is one of a hell o a cynical era. Fantasy worshippers must take shelter in the company of nerds... because we are usually nerds.
At least, I usually like mainstream movies above all... what makes me a social outcast in my work, a tv channel full of people with a taste for terrible irani films about people doing nothing...

You know what? You've found a kindred soul here (must be the Latin blood, as I'm Italian...). I wouldn't go so far as to say I feel a social outcast (I usually don't bother with such labels), but I know my tastes in music, art and literature are unconventional. BTW, I LOVE the Pre-Raphaelites and all kinds of non-realistic literature (fantasy, gothic, fairytales and the lot - I'm a Tolkien scholar as well), and of course I'm a prog nut, otherwise I wouldn't be here!

let's just stay above the moral melee prefer the sink to the gutter keep our sand-castle virtues content to be a doer as well as a thinker, prefer lifting our pen rather than un-sheath our sword

I voted for the just a bunch option, but if some psycho-therapist would analyse me, he would soon discover some very snobistic thoughts. And suddenly I would jump up from the sofa and shout: my taste in music is flawless! It is SO much better than yours!

A mixture of everything except the stoner thing for me.
Then again, I got a terrible headache after not drinking tea in two
days, and it laste for a day and a half, until I cooked a pot, and then
everything just felt AWESOME. So, maybe the stoner bit, too. I should
stop drinking those three litres a day...
But, in general, I'd say that proggers are more pretentious than
the average music fan. So I voted for no. 1, since I thought it was the
most significant.
