I don't get the amount of GG, VDGG, and KC mentions at all. To me they're much more unique, soulful (meaning their music sounds much more like it has a soul, not the R&B way of using it), and creative than ELP, Genesis, and Yes (not that I don't like these bands, but to me their music is just a bit more boring, flat-sounding, and generic than the former three). But that's only my opinion (And those with beards are always wiser than those without).

It's a reasonable album but hardly mindlowing. Ange are hardly the most
essential of groups. Here's a few I feel I ought to love but just can't:
- Genesis
- Pink Floyd
- Art Bears
A bit of a shame mayhaps, but life goes on, eh?

Its hard to find people that doesnīt like Floyd and Genesis and, at the same time, enjoys prog rock.
But hey, what the hell, my brother is studing to become a musician, he
loves Genesis, but just donīt get pink floyd. For me floy is the
greatest band ever.
I have been having troubles trying to get Gentle Giant. I mean, I like them, but find it a little bit boring after a while.
Maybe its because I have recently start listening to their albums, dunno for sure.
Still I have to say that Octopus is a great album!

MOSTLY AUTUMN, PAVLOV'S DOG - I never understood the rap about them. Also ARGENT, post-Neal Morse SPOCK'S BEARD, and the latest albums by ANEKDOTEN, PORCUPINE TREE & ARENA.
From South America - NEXUS. I started liking them. actually, although I felt I had to get more into them in order to properly enjoy them. But, the further I listened to their input, the less & less I enjoyed it, and now I can say that I just don't like them.

Mahavishnu Orchestra. Lots of stuff going on in their work, but it just seems so disjointed to me. They may all individually be great musicians, but to me they just don't jell well on vinyl.

i completely dislike Genesis............they bore me rigid. I use to have all their albums up to 1978, but i destroyed them systematically for being crap.
