Exactly!
That's why they are a classic rock'n'roll band
... and have a lot of groupies

Ace of Spades is their best classic killer IMO

Saw them on the Bomber tour, which was awesome. Saw them a few more times over the next 10 years or so - not a band I listen to much at home (though No Sleep 'Til Hammersmith is a good livener) but they always deliver the goods on stage.

If it's too loud, you're too old!

'Like so many of you
I've got my doubts about how much to contribute
to the already rich among us...'

you win some, lose some, its all the same to me

the pleaure is to play, makes no difference what you say!
I don't share your greed, the only card I need is
the ace of spades! the ace of spades!

Or maybe my memory's just fuzzy, but it was somewhere in in the late 70s. I went to a LOT of live concerts then. And for the record, Sex Pistols were awesome live.

Oops, uhm... Long live the Moody Blues!!

Dood, didn't Ace of Spades come out in 1980?

LOVE Motorhead.  Love love love.  They offer the best in groovy, bluesy, speedy metal.  Saw then live for the very first time this Summer on the Inferno tour and It was up there in the top 3  best rock shows I've ever seen.  I still can't get over how awesome it was...

Must have albums:

Overkill
Bomber
Ace of Spades
Another Perfect Day
Orgasmatron
Rock and Roll
1916
Everything Louder the Everyone Else
Inferno

For a first time taste of Motorhead, there's a great "Very Best Of" cd out now that covers all their early songs through "Another Perfect Day".   I recommend it very highly.

Lemmy is God!  And this god has a hell of a sense of humor!

^ It's more rock'n'roll than metal, I think... No "symphonic" passages a la Maiden or Metallica.

I have been a metalhead for as long as I can remember, but I never could stand Motorhead.

Don't know exactly why, they just never appealed to me.

I like them! I think "Snake Bite Love" is their best album. Assasin!

You'll have to wait answers from other Hawkwind fans...
