I hope Josh Brolin really delivers a good performance as Thanos, hopefully along the lines of what that Andy Serkis guy does in his motion capture performances, etc.
Because the last thing we need is Thanos turning out like that anonymous Commodore Amiga-era looking CGI baddie from the recent `Justice League' film. I'm certain that wasn't an actor captured for the performance, but an entirely CGI creation.
That's actually my worry about these kind of films though...all becoming reliant on a never-ending ocean of CGI weightless fakery. There's a reason why the `Winter Soldier' film stands up so well, and it's because so much of it was practical stunts and proper hand-to-hand fight scenes.

I read all the comics as a kid and i'm extremely picky about films based on my childhood memories however so far The Avengers has been one of the MCU's most faithful representations. My expectations are high about the new one after i saw the trailer at the Black Panther movie but i'm also aware that it's a crap shoot that they continue to do things right. Generally speaking the first or second installments in a series are awesome then the quality tapers off, however X Men has been quite consistent. And one always has to remember that these are comic book movies!

I am terrified that my expectations will be too high.
I was once a big time comic book collector. I already don't like Thanos' voice in the previews. I hope they use Dr. Strange well. He's one of my favorites. I'm afraid they won't. Of course, in the movies his power has been rather limited, not having become the Sorcerer Supreme yet.
All the infinity stones stuff came out after I stopped collecting. What I remember well was Thanos' acquiring the cosmic cube and being eventually overcome by one my favorite super heroes, Catain Marvel, from the Avengers, Drax the Destroyer, and others. He defeated him mainly with his cosmic awareness, a thinly veiled LSD styled one with the universe mind expansion sort of thing. I don't know if they'll have Captain Marvel in time for this, but from what I've heard, they plan on bringing "Captain Marvel" out as a female super hero. Aargh! The child in me really resents that.
Another favorite, Adam Warlock, was foreshadowed in the last Guardians of the Galaxy movie. He was another one to successfully engage, Thanos, but I haven't seen any indication he will be in this movie.
I'm looking forward to this, though.

I didn't know that Emma Peel and John Steed were still doing their thing.

Popcorn flick I guess, though I'm a little surprised Avengers is still generating excitement .
