I came across 'One Niter' many years ago and firstly was really impressed by the photo of the band on the rear sleeve!! All that Kit!! A bit like the back of Ummagumma.. and set in some weird sculpture park..
Related image

A great European prog lp! Not so impressed with 'Hats of glass' with its version of Chris de Burgh's 'Spaceman came a travelling'.. there are a couple of really good tracks but a bit of filler in there too. Have meant to get the debut lp for years but just haven't got round to it.

It's weird,  after someone complained about a certain album with Eelie Craig  Hit and Miss.  I checked their discovery and bought all their albums in the past few days.
Hit and Miss the hardest to find.

I can sum up,  this is a great band from Austria which was often forgotten.

This band has elements of Camel, Nektar, ELP, Rick Wakeman, Stackridge, Colosseum, Soft Machine, Pink Floyd, Procal  Harum....  The list goes on...  This band is a Symphonic/Neo/ Jazz Fusion/ Crossover of music which started in the 70s....Smile

How I rate these albums

1. Hats of Glass.... 10/10
2. One Niter .... 9.5/10
3. Eela Craig debut album 1971... 9.5/ 10
4. Missa Universalis ... 9/10
5. Virgin Oiland .... 8.5/10
6. Hit & Miss .... 5/10
7. Symphonic Rock .... 9.5/10

Does this need 100 words or more?...

Yeah, preferably quite a lot more. It says under ratings which are under the review box:

Quote PROGARCHIVES REVIEWS GUIDELINES:
1 - Write in ENGLISH, we regret that we cannot accept reviews in other languages. Avoid the use of on-line translators wherever possible, they will not do justice to your efforts. Do not use ALL CAPITAL LETTERS in your reviews, standard sentence case should be used at all times. Do not use abbreviations or texting language. Remember to check your review for spelling, grammar and punctuation. A poorly presented review can distract the reader from the well written content. Reviews accepted should be a MINIMUM 100 words preferably substantially more, no maximum.

2 - While ratings without reviews are accepted, you are strongly encouraged to write a review to support your rating.

3 - Feel free to review as many discs as you like, and to construct your reviews in whatever way you wish. (Tip, to start a new paragraph in your review, put <p> at the end of the previous paragraph.)

Incidentally, I don't think your review will now show up on the front page because you already rated it. I tried to delete your original rating yesterday, but it wasn't working.

Hit and Miss.......This album is nothing like the other releases....  Not at all progressive...  Still a good album though!...  Most Eela Craig fans might find this quite a shock!....

Personally I like it!!...  Depending on personal tastes, it's a worthy album to own.

It's a shame this album cannot be listened on the internet?....

3/5

Just managed to pick up Hit and Miss.   This is quite a pop album,  not bad at all though!!!... Not as progressive compared to their other releases.

Suppose the album goes with this title Big smile

The debut album is a killer !! Top marks.
Others I have in my collection are Hats of Glass, and Missa Universalis. Both are quite good.
Very good band that flies under the radar tbh.

The problem is that there's an added code there that you don't want
Instead of QR-b7Zoyav4&t=319s it should be QR-b7Zoyav4 . Just need to get rid of the &... bit

No worries, thought from your post that sounded the case, I can delete your rating. With the quick rating feature it's an easy mistake to make. That it has so few ratings I'm guessing that it's very hard to come by.

As to another site maintenance matter, not that I want to turn this thread into that.

IMO, yes, those are their two best. Btw, Symphonic Rock is the CD two-fer that compiles both those albums (minus two songs).

It seems that progarchives should have listed the Symphonic Rock album under compilations rather than the stdio albums section (I don't suppose that there's any reworked material). http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=92

Rateyourmusic certainly has it listed as a compilation. http://rateyourmusic.com/artist/eela_craig As does wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eela_Craig and discogs https://www.discogs.com/artist/973413-Eela-Craig

Safe bet to move into the right category, so going to...

No need to embed, a simple copy/paste of the url will work, can hyperlink it with url tags if you like. But if you want to embed it should work, you just need to copy the number/letter bit after v= and place tube tags around it. By quoting this post, you will see how it's done with the video I am embedding. I always do it manually by typing in the tags. It used to that you could do it by posting the whole address when embedding, but that doesn't work anymore.

And for a hyperlink to the same: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jYK92zMc6jI The jYK92zMc6jI part is the only part you want when using tube tags. Actually, I get unwanted code when quoting, so not sure how much that will help. It's this [ tube]jYK92zMc6jI [/ tube] without any spaces for videos, and the whole address without spaces for hyperlinks [URL ] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jYK92zMc6jI[/ URL]

I posted a single by Eela Craig there and I like it. I actually recall now that I had heard some of the early stuff before; it's good.

Sorry, I must of hit the wrong album!.....Ouch....

Can, someone who knows this band send me a link to buy the Hit and Miss album...  Prefer a  mp3 download, rather then the CD..  I have over 5000 cd's in my collection...  No more space, Im afraid!!Cry

Or listen to this album...Smile
