Hi James!
There's no place where they continously play prog rock, you'd have to be on the lookout for active bands such as Ekos but there are two great jazz places: Zinco Bar and Parker & Lennox. Both places are in Mexico City. Hope it helps. Ricardo

Hi.
I'm going to be in Mexico City 9/25/17 - 10/4/17 and then in Oaxaca for 2 months after that. Can you recommend some places that I can go go to see prog rock or jazz? James

A new edition of the Fest Prog Jazz will take place at Auditorio Fausto Vega in Mexico City next August 12th.
This line-up will have: Aisles - Excellent Chilean band which is visiting our country for the first time, promoting their latest and highly acclaimed album "Hawaii": http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=2338 Cast - One of the most prolific prog bands from Mexico, whose work has led them to international success.
