I've been reading some very good write-ups by US-based jazz rock fusion fans wrt to
Larry Coryell, etal's album
Electric. The album will be released in the Uk, end of September, here's copy from the UK distributor's release sheet:
Release date: 26 September
CHESKY (JD308)
CORYELL/BAILEY/WHITE
Electric
CD
‘Electric’,
is a blistering set of jazz, blues and classic rock anthems performed by the
pioneer of jazz-rock, guitarist Larry Coryell with veteran Return to Forever
drummer Lenny White and former Weather Report bass player Victor Bailey.
Coryell and friends have an all-out blast working their way through
interpretations of well-known cuts by Led Zeppelin (“Black Dog”), and Sly and
the Family Stone (“Sex Machine”), as well as Miles Davis (“So What”) and Wayne
Shorter (“Footprints”).
