There are 3 or 4 I havent heard ever, because I lost the interest for the band after ATTW3 (Not because it was goiod, but because I bought the first day of release and still have it almost brand new).

But I hate each and every one of the 15 or 18 songs I heard.

Iván

BTW: The others I have probably heard in any elevator but don't know the names.

[QUOTE=Poxx] Missing the infamous album ruiner: 'For Absent Friends'.[/
QUOTE]

For Absent Friends is Collins singing? I always thought it was Gabriel. It's a
great song anyway. Other than that I hate all Collins ballads and songs you
listed (from the ones I've heard.)

Maybe if we all hold our collective breaths long enough and stomp our feet really loud, Phil will stop accepting all of his royalty cheques for sales for all albums prior to Abacab

Trotsky, I think I know all the songs you mentioned, although about two songs don't sound familiar to me, but then again, I'd like to add That's just the way it is and  Can't stop loving you, so that adds up to about 18 ballads as well.

So a) about 18

b) I like most of them more or less; there goes my credibility on the forum

c) My favourite: We Said Hello Goodbye, which is the bonus track on the cd No Jacket Required (it's not on the LP).

Other favourites of mine: Please Don't Ask, Misunderstanding, Take Me Home and Groovy Kind Of Love. I ought to mention also the music to In The Air Tonight, with the great drum sounds.

Not enough people have fessed up ... c'mon, surely the big boys of PA have sung along to a Phil ballad ...

In my opinion, they are all mostly awful.

'In the air tonight' and 'I missed again' are the only two Phil Collins solo songs I like. Of all the ballads he recorded with Genesis I quite like 'Taking it all too hard' and I can tolerate 'Throwing it all away'

Covers like 'Groovy kind of love' make me feel physically ill....

Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!

  Genesis - Nursery crime

1. The musical box (10/10)
2. For absent friends (10/10)
3. The return of the giant hogweed (10/10)
4. Seven stones (10/10)
5. Harold the barrel (10/10)
6. Harlequin (10/10)
7. The fountain of Salmacis (10/10)

And still I think SEbtP and Tlldob are better just because there is more minutes of music on it...

What do you have against that song? (Oh no not this confused again)I think it's a perfect synthesis of Collins' and Banks' different styles, one of the highlights on Genesis (Shapes).

I simply find it duller than the rest, and it raises no emotions in me.
Nor I find it funny or weird.

That's all

I agree, In the Air Tonight is an amaaazing song, surprising from Collins.  It was meant for Duke, but Banks nixed it.  Oh Well.  It could of replaced two sh*tty songs there.
