I know a handy little short cut via Valhalla (you can stop there for a decent beer, too).....
You can cut out the Happy Hunting Grounds gyratory system completely by turning right at Nirvana, straight up the A402 (passing Sheol completely!), turn left at the Frog & Bucket Inn, through Valhalla (watch out for the speed humps), and At One With The Cosmos is just past the 7/11.
Easy!

^ agreed. I like the Strokes and the White Stripes, as long as I don't have to look at them. Now let's get back to hate, my forte.
"Hate My Way" - Throwing Muses
I could be a smack freak And hate society I could hate god And blame dad I might be in a holocaust Hate hitler Might not have a child And hate school I could be a sad lover And hate death I could be a neuro And hate sweat No I hate my way
I make you in to a song I can’t rise above the church I’m caught in a jungle Vines tangle my hands I’m always so hot and it’s hot in here I say it’s all right
My pillow screams too But so does my kitchen And water And my shoes And the road
I have a gun in my head I’m invisible I can’t find the ice
A slug I’m tv I hate
A boy, he was tangled in his bike forever A girl was missing two fingers Gerry ann was confused Mr. huberty Had a gun in his head
So I sit up late in the morning And ask myself again How do they kill children? And why do I want to die? They can no longer move I can no longer be still
I hate My way

Hello "little" Joren -- welcome back! Lots of other young prog fans here now....
I like The Strokes (what I've heard) too. Basic catchy, somewhat retro R&R. What's so bad about that? At least they don't sound like Nickleback. (unlike 90% of the rock bands on the radio these days!) I find them refreshing.
Again, taste is an individual thing. It's only rock and roll -- no need to "hate" the band. Move on -- try something else....

Don't forget all that sublime Italian Prog from the 1970s, though. There was plenty of that too, and it can stand shoulder-to-shoulder with British Prog rock in my opinion.

Most Prog rock albums have English lyrics - English prog-rock from 1970-1975 is still regarded as the creme-de-la-creme, I am proud of my vocabulary and my ability to express myself without using vulgar terms for people who "Self pleasure" themselves.....
I do wish I could speak another language but I have other areas of my knowledge base that I preferto widen first!

Nope. Didn't think so.
I note that the majority of these people are from England, a notoriously intolerant breed (and I'm half a one).

Mostly, today, I'll be hating yer small-minded, bloated, overblown and patently undeserved sense of self-satisfaction....
Oh and also the slow, inexorable slide towards believing that all this pop music is too loud and you can't the hear the words and WHY IS HE SHOUTING?!!

Why is it that I hate Mobile phones, yet when I was a nipper all I wanted was a walkie talkie set ??
And when I was 10 I hated "Girls" and when I grew some.....
Such Sweet Dichotomy is longing once perceived.....(switches into Yes lyric mode)!
