I confess to being perplexed.  The Sleepwalkers is certainly brilliant, but so are Arrow and Scorched Earth, imo.  I've never understood the lack of love for either.  Yeah, Peter's voice is rather abrasive in Arrow, but in that song I see it as a feature rather than as a bug.  Raw passion.  I wound up voting for The Undercover Man, which I merely like instead of adore, but more to express my support for Arrow and Scorched Earth being great songs rather than due to any actual antipathy towards it.

At present (before casting my vote), the votes are:

The Undercover Man = 4
Scorched Earth = 8
Arrow = 9
The Sleepwalkers = 2

I find this very surprising as I would have thought these numbers would be more like a vote for the MOST favourite than a LEAST favourite.

For me, this poll was easy. My order from most favourite to least favourite is without hesitation:

1: Scorched Earth (which is one of my favourite VdGG tracks overall)
2: Arrow
3: The Undercover Man
4: The Sleepwalkers

Thus, my vote for this poll goes to The Sleepwalkers.

No, I know how to behave in the restaurant now, I don't tear at the meat with my hands. If I've become a man of the world somehow, that's not necessarily to say I'm a worldly man.

Not an easy decision. Put a crossbow to my head I'll probably say "Arrow", but there's no weak track on this album.

A PA crowd favorite, but I could never really get into any of it. Can't vote.

My least favorite is Scorched Earth. Actually, Arrow is one of my all-time favorites. Wonderful wonderful piece of music.

I couldn't put it better myself. I absolutely hate VDGG because of Hamill's voice.

Probably agree with Arrow - Hammill tends to over-shriek in this one, but I love the Clavinet.

Arrow is no where near as good as other 3 tracks
All I like is prog related bands beginning late 60's/early 70's. Their music from 1968 - 83 has the composition and sound which will never be beaten. Perfect blend of jazz, classical, folk and rock.

Yeah, I can't really pick one either. I got this on vinyl when I was about sixteen years old, and it properly blew my mind. I certainly didn't understand it then and thirty years later I'm still not sure I do. VdGG's finest work in the studio, in my opinion.

All absolutely fantastic tracks, Scorched Earth is slightly behind the rest.

Why do people keep interpreting "worst" as "must necessarily be bad?" Just pick a least favorite, even it's one of your favorite albums (Godbluff is one of mine).
