Children Of Bodom: Prog?

I found it on Window's Media Player's Media Guide, which said it was from Guitar Pro's website. The direct link to the file is http://s120908865.onlinehome.us/mp3s/bodom/in_your_face.mp3. I'm assuming it's legal since it's right there in WMP for everybody to see.

Anybody heard any of the stuff from COB's upcoming album? I heard "In Your Face" today and they seem to have travelled even further down the straightforward/uninteresting path they took with Hate Crew Deathroll. Alexi said the album would have industrial elements, and he wasn't kidding - the snare drum has that really annoying "industrial" sound, which I personally can't stand. Alexi's singing has somehow gotten worse over the years, and his lyrics are just absolutely terrible (I don't think he even bothers to write lyrics anymore, he just yells "motherf***er" 50 times in every song and occasionally throws in a "hate" or "dead" ). The music is extremely straightforward and not very interesting... it's not flat-out terrible, it's just really simple and relatively boring.

95% of todays bands (prog also) are uninventive... But I still think that they created a uniqe stile, so I thind them a ee bit innovative... And I love the keyboard-guitar melodies and harmonies...

Its a matter of taste, as allways... Thats the main problem with any tipe of argument... Its ALLWAYS a matter of taste... so arguing it actuallly pointless

i find all of CoB's album's sound pretty much identical. They keyboards never change it seems.

These bands have been merchadised agresively abroad from Finland, with underlining their country of origin. They are pop, and often pop is crap. What I have heard of those you mentioned, they truly are crap.

If you like prog folk try UZVA, or if you are into psychedelia try HIDRIA SPACEFOLK.

Which bands have you heard? Wigwam, Tasavallan Presidentti, Jeavestone to name but few are very good.
