I just couldn't resist myself anymore. I am currently waiting for the new Gösta Berlings Saga to drop by, so I streamed the sucker over bandcamp. Holy smokes!!! What an album! Like Necromonkey and GBS melting together. Trippy, grandiose, gorgeous, fluid, raw, intricate and such a thrill to listen to that the album went by in flash.

Well Dave, I have been giving both volumes a serious listen over the last week and you are absolutely right, Volume 1 is outstanding.  That Reims Cathedral set is possibly the best live TD I've heard ever.  Volume 2 has the 1978 recordings and I'm not a big fan of the vox and drums line up but the 1980 material is great and makes up for it.  They really are expensive though, thank God for Spotify Wink.

So glad you're digging those bootleg releases, I myself haven't yet moved on from vol 1.
Btw do you know your fellow Mancunian Floating Points ie Sam Shepherd? He is guilty of making one of 2016's finest electronic releases entitled Kuiper. Comes highly recommended.

Glad to see Edensong's Years in the Garden of Years get mentioned as it seems to have gotten relatively few reviews on this site. For those who have heard it and posted elsewhere, it seems that it is in many top 10s and frequently mentioned as the, or one of the, best progressive albums of the year. Definitely, my choice.
