Topic: Turn Of The Centary - Yes Posted: August 25 2005 at 09:41 |
I saw Yes on the GFTO tour and that song was one of the highlights of the set. Imaginative arrangement, Alan White adding some well judged percussion and an almost coherent lyric from Jon Anderson. An underrated piece from the last great Yes album.

Great song, great lyric, only slightly marred by the OTT guitar at the end.

Over the top! Never! A tasteful and fitting climax to a wonderful composition would better describe it.

I love that song. I think it's one of the best they ever wrote, lyrically and musically.
It happens to come from one of their best albums too IMO..

It's fantastic! It's SO progressive... no other band does something like it. It's beautiful, really. One of the best songs on my all time nr. 1 album.

there should be no decision. just get either fragile, CTTE, or relayer to start.

Absolutely beautiful! For me it's the best track on GFTO, even better than Awaken.

No, but I love turn of the century- one of the most emotive composition
by yes. That transition from the emotionally charged accoustic section
into electric is amazing.
