^ Counterpunch is quite good so far. It's the first Punk band I discover since I was in high school
![]() I mostly listen to Portuguese Punk but I have some favourites that sing in English: The Clash, Dead Kennedys, NOFX, Riverboat Gamblers, Yellowcard.

Oh, and if you're looking for progressive punk, there's a band called Almeida that labels themselves as Progressive Thrash. I hear more punk than thrash in their sound, with A Wilhelm Scream being a definite influence.
And for you epic song fans, this song from Mute is the longest punk song I've ever heard, clocking in at over 10 minutes:

Punk is the scene I came up in, if you will. Played in punk bands, was a part of the punk scene. Punk is a seasonal thing for me now, but every summer, I'm on the lookout for new punk stuff.
Here's the best of what I've discovered over the past two seasons: Counterpunch - Bruises Stabbed in Back - Dasvidaniya Straightaway - Last Exit To Nowhere Implants - From Chaos To Order Rehasher - Make the Noise My thing is primarily skate punk, but maybe you'll be able to pull something from this. If you like stuff more influenced by 70s punk, try Hostage Life's Walking Papers. It's not new, but it's one of the catchiest records in my collection. Hope this helps. |

We have lot of punk fans here, I'm sure they'll help if they see this.
There are also some interesting newer bands, part of the 'Punk Revival' movement, such as Savages - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xUqDckQuqcg |

Strange place to come looking for punk bands... but still there are some people here that know lot's of music besides prog who could help you, I guess. Sadly, not me in the case of punk.
