Check out Dream Theatres earlier stuff Falling into infinity is good but it is nothing in comparison to Awake or Images and Words. If you like heavyer stuff go for some Nightwish, Stratovarious, Symphony X,Psychotic Waltz.
Peace

Hello everybody there!
I´m also another new guy. I was pulled into prog by Dream Theater, Rush and lately by Pink Floyd. It´s been imposible to me to get in contact with other prog fans because here in Ecuador almost all the people listen to non-sense music (e.g. Daddy Yankee, I hate that guy with my life), punk and hardcore metal (except from some power eighties-style bands). I was wondering if there really existed people like me! Luckily I found this page last week and decided to get in. So, if you are any long time fan please suggest me something good to listen...!
Favorite album: DT´s Falling Into Infinity
Thank to all, someone can reply.
P.D.: sorry if you misunderstand something. I only have a few hours of English by week.

King Crimson first! And just to beat Trouserpress, I'm going to recommend Gentle Giant first!

Hi there!
...are there any Australian progbands worth checking out (I wonder)?
...not many of them in Norway anyway (too far north I guess!)
Welcome anyway! Recommend you to check out Rush, Jethro Tull and Genesis

Just nod if you can hear me...
Is there anyone at home?
G'day all. I've only just discovered prog through the means of Dream
Theater, Pink Floyd and Muse. Love the stuff and looking to get into
more and play a bit of it too. Rock on all.
Btw: The Wall is THE greatest album ever written.
