They're obviously going to get more votes than anyone else, and I'm only looking to compare these 6.

Keep in mind this is not a "who is the best drummer ever" poll, just a small one that has potential to spark some discussion and debate.

Collins not only helped to develop the sound of Genesis as he had the skill to implement the metric shifts as the music became more demanding, he also developed progressive rock.  His work with Brand X extended this even further.  When he stepped up to the lead vocal spot, he had the insight to bring in Bruford, then Chester Thompson, to provide back up.  Meanwhile, his rhythmic contributions to Gabriel's third album are innovative and while Genesis started to simplify from the late 70s, Collins still kept things interesting (try keeping time to 'Turn it on Again').  An accomplished musician.

good lord, Collins ahead of Barlow???

Barlow is an extraordinary drummer - i don;t know why he is not in the pantheon of greats, while collins is merely serviceable

Even as I should vote for Phil Collins I decided after all to give my vote to Barry Barlow. He played extremely good in 70's and he has less votes than Collins ;-)

The sophistication of Collins's drumming is not to be under-estimated - even in the dire years of the 80s, it was always a delight to hear, despite the stuff on top.  Bozzio is in a similar mould.  Paice is the outlier here - a good rock drummer in a poll in a prog forum.

All the drummers that you listed are very good. But I voted for Michael Giles. Great drummer in the studio and in concert with King Crimson. Also very good drums in the "McDonald and Giles" album.
