Of course, goes without saying - "totally".
- one "jazz metal" band that i think actually does blend elements from both genres fairly well (with an emphasis on the heavy side) is EPHEL DUATH. "the painter's palette" has some good work on it. they're british i think. |
- Agreed with, ephel duath are amazing. Also they are Italian, which I know cos I've totally met them. | "Yeah, ... as opposed to ... not totally meeting them, ... which is kind of like ... not totally, not really meeting them. I don't know what that's like. To tell you the truth, I don't know if I've actually met them or not."
Words are fun.

"As god is my witness" - get rid of it. Misused and overused even by people who don't believe in god.

^ Yep, not dissimilar to the 'I'm sorry but....' prefacing the retraction of any apology or the 'please don't misunderstand me/get me wrong' overture to some indefensible drivel that is bound to follow...

So I'm a 'crinkly' now......... How degrading is that Dope has always been, and always will be, something that refers to marajuana, not some industrial adhesive, nor describing something that's good. Dope=pot . I once was a addicted to dope - I've NEVER snorted glue in my life...............nor was I ever any good .........

............stands for 'weed', in my (old) world. Never heard it being used to describe something good...... Yes, 'I could care less' is just not quiet ( ) right. It's always 'couldn't' as far as I'm concerned........

The word 'nice' - yes, I've used it a few times, but it states next to nothing. Horrible word.

My English teacher banned us from using "nice" as it was so meaningless. |
Your English Teacher is very wise Chopper, even I when I use that word I add very nice :) i.e. very nice person or very nice to me, this changes the perspective. On the other-hand when one says it's nice or a nice song, that means ok not special and certainly not good either hugs

No-one has mentioned this one - now, I think everyone from Peter Hammill to Rob Thomas has used the word 'baby' in song lyrics. I HATE this use - so they are singing to/about a new-born offspring ?? So your missus is 44 years old, you say " how's about it, baby ? " - how degrading......... .......'babe' is almost as bad. |
Agreed, but how else are these literary giants gonna crowbar 'maybe' into the song otherwise?

dope meaning good wack meaning bad thanks in advance - more than a bit presumptuous and redolent of emotional beigemail same difference - so are the two things the same or not? we agree to differ - tantamount to believing that more hugging will eliminate all disease go the extra yard - origins are obscure but invariably spoken by those who have never set foot on a sports field in their lives believe you me - pidgin English spoken by dyslexics I could care less (you really mean: I couldn't care less)
