^ yep, that's a good live album. There's also Live at the Old Waldorf recorded in 1978 from a radio broadcast which contains material from both the first two studio albums (featuring a rather unwittingly comedic version of the Stones Satisfaction thereon for good measure...)

Just remembered I have a fine live album by Television called "The Blow Up" (a ROIR sessions release) that covers the first two albums well, and jams out nicely on extended versions of Marquee Moon and their early single Little Johnny Jewel (live version far superior to the single IMO).

^I found my copy of Adventure and, as Ian stated, it is less politically 'in your face' than Marquee Moon but it was a bigger seller in the U.K than in the U.S. where Marquee Moon soldmore and seemed to be more popular.
I listened to the 1990 reunion album only a few times and wasn't impressed, but I'll give it another shot tomorrow.

^Great vids, Ian. I'm still looking for my copy of Adventure (it's probably in the car), but it didn't grab as much as TV's debut. Still, it's good solid album, as Steve noted.
Television for me by several country miles. I liked Hell's lyrics considerably more than the music on the Voidoids debut album (check out The Plan, a truly sinister and creepy tale) but do admit to a fondness for anything featuring Robert Quine's inimitable guitar.
The 2nd TV album (Adventure) is a very different beast to the first (Marquee Moon) and is unjustly neglected in appraisals of the band's worth in my book. It's a softer, slower and more intimate and less abrasive/confrontational listen. Hard to choose between them as for me they are both nothing less than brilliant, albeit for different reasons. They did a 3rd album in 1990 called simply 'Television' which I was completely underwhelmed by at the time but it has grown on me a bit in the intervening years.

I don't actually own the 2nd Television album, but I used to have it on cassette, a friend of mine copied it for me. It basically was a solid enough album, similar in sound to the debut, but just lacked a lot of memorable moments. It's probably one of those albums that grows on you over time; I just haven't taken the time.

Tough one. Both made one great album and one okay album then split up. I guess I like Television just a wee bit more. Plus their 90s reunion album wasn't half bad.
