This album is the first I've heard of Beardfish. What a pleasure! Can't wait to go back and explore the rest of their discography.

For those who didn't like the "metalish" songs from The Void, there's little of that here.

I'm really honeymooning with this album... You know, when you listen five times in the morning and then decide you should probably listen to something else, stick another CD on and half-heartedly get through a few songs before giving in and returning to the first one.

They've managed to sound fresh and new and yet entirely like themselves. Awesome Clap

I listened to it for the first time yesterday on progstreaming and although I was busy with something else it sounded good, will listen today again.

Why no opinions on the new album? I was never into beardfish, but after listening this new album, I have to say, I really enjoyed it. Of course, there are few songs, which I didn't like, but I rarely like whole album, especially after only few days of listening. I really loved "Ode to the rock'n'roller", made me smile and laugh.

I personally had only recently deepened into their music, each one of their albums sound quite unique and often they deserve repeated listening to appreciate any single nuance!

I had great expectations on the new album as well, I only hope it will be sound much more consistent  than The Void wasn't! It is not to say that it was not a good album, you can read my personal review here:

Excellent new track from the non-Spock Beardsters... their strength has always been in their "melodic quirkiness", and that is certainly present.

Looks like they enjoy a good beer as well, heh.
