Wow, I'm taken aback. I was expecting a cartoon....I don't think I've seen you make a serious post Hey I'm not saying that a lot of dittohead's are there who don't know anything and just believe the right wing talking heads.... But wouldn't they already be opposed to Obama? I'm just saying that's not the main reason for his fall in numbers. It was going to happen anyway. Not to mention health care is a sticky wicket.....we want reform, but we don't want anything to change.....tackling the issue at all was a dicey move. Now I hate the unholy alliance, (which I use to refer to Rush, Glen, and Bill) not to mention that fascist michael savage....and I'm sure some people in the middle, (those that really have no f*cking clue about anything and don't really care) were swayed. But it's just natural...his numbers were bound to go down. Once the economy is back on track he should be on the easy track, unless things really go bad until then.

Nah...... I'm sure there ARE people who are getting scared into believing by the right wing talking heads...but I don't think that is the major reason. I hate to do the red writing thing but I've been following US politics since the late '70's and I've seen a major dumbing down of certain groups of people through right-wing talk radio and television.
(I know it's out jobs as good liberals to make sure the vast right wing conspiracy is good and strong) but I was expecting it. Conspiracy or combined dis-coordinated effort? If you aren't a part, you can't really know. The best thing you have is to pay attention to current events and if things seem too coincidental, something may be afoot. But the again maybe not.
I figured Obama would get a few months, then his numbers would start sliding. It was inevitable. Why else was there this giant push to do all that stuff? He knew it. As for healthcare, I also think that's more the American people being hopeful. At first the LARGE majority supported a public option (I think above 70%) then as we got into it, they fell. A majority of Americans said we do NEED some reform, but also a majority didn't want to raise taxes.
So....not a very easy spot to be in. But hey, that's the Presidency...you get the good praise, probably unwarranted....and the bad, also unwarranted.
He didn't really do anything on healthcare..he just sat back and let Congress fight it out. So yeah, once the economy rebounds and is back in full, (2012 maybe?) he'll be credited as "fixing" it. A while to go still Healthcare is still a political football and will remain so for a while. It's been going on for a long time. I am skeptical of reform that will actually be functional.

So seriously, been a lil over 6 months.....how do I feel about his Presidency? Considering I did vote for and support him. Well...I like HIM as a person....uh, yeah I'll have to get back to you in a year or two.
Although I did hear he hates white people

Meet the Press had graphics on his numbers yesterday and they/re down. Surprisingly even Clintons' numbers on universal health care were higher than Obama's. His approval ratings are down 10 pts. since the election. Keeping his word/Believeability are down as well. It could be alot of people are buying into what the right's talking heads are putting out.

I have just been given that job myself, directly from Barack Obama. I run the Polar Bear Adoption Forum (PBAF). PBAF aim to rehouse all polar bears from the Arctic Ocean, which soon will be ice-free and unhitable by polar bears, to council estates and the suburbia in the United Kingdom, Germany, The Scandinavian Countries, France and The Baltic States. PBAF is financially and morally supported by both the Obama administration in the USA, Russia and China. Some funds has also been sourced from Iran, Cuba, Venezuela and Libya. The whole idea is to save the whole population of polar bears from it's extintion by integrate these 25 000 charming meat-feast consumers into these countries, among the general population. PBAF is therefore makin the Kyoto and any similiar moronic climate-deals obsolete. USA plans to increase their emissions by 40 % by completing the rehousing of the polar bears to their intended destinations. If you want to rehouse a polar bear or ten, please contact your local council if you live in any of the countries mentioned. Thank you in advance for your prayers and moral support.

It's a shame Obama had a Bud Light, though I understand the spot he was in. "Can't have anything good or you're an elitist." He should've gotten a microbrew, which might have caused dumbass accusers to explode from simultaneously supporting small business and being unrelatable to rednecks. Or I guess he could actually like Bud Light. Wat.

Lol I actually thought you were serious at first, as I have heard other similar claims. To me, Obama is just another crooked overlord in a long line. Even tough I din't agree with his philsophy, I actually had hoped he'd bring a kinder face to the gov't after he won. Silly me, buying into the hope and change bullsh*t.

Yea, I keep telling my old room mate he's got to send a letter to Rush telling him to shut the f*ck up, he's just making things even worse for them. Though I wouldn't be too upset by that. I mean you got Dick Cheney and Rush Limbaugh heading the party at the moment. Ah well, those 6 years were pretty rough on us Dems, it be our time now.

^ Agreed 100%
I heard the talking heads saying this is near the end of US super power dominance and the NWO is coming. I'm glad this is an open, global site because most of my friends would be in shock at this:
I am glad! We need a multi polar world, one not totally dominated by America

Obama keeps scoring huge points with many who were (and in many cases rightly so) disgusted with Bushian idiocy , but there is an underlying intelligence in everything he says. Its obvious also that the man knows how to convey a message , wether we agree with the content or not. In many ways, he is the paragon of universality which ,as the US being the ONLY superpower , is about damn time. Lead by example, by righteousness and by intellectual fortitude , that's the true definition of a superpower. The Bush years seem to fade to grey......

Since we got religion going on, lets flame the other taboo topic!
Personally, I am a huge fan of Obama but was waiting to see how he does. So far, I like what he's doing. I am waiting for criticism to flow in, but I applaud his Middle East actions today.
I've been saying for a few years the only way for their to be middle east peace is BOTH sides need to agree and just stop. Not an easy task...and we need to help it by 1. stopping our unnecessary war there. 2. Talking with them honestly and openly 3. Install a little more trust in them 4. Admit our past wrong doings. I know that last one is a real tough issue since we have a tough time admitting problems/mistakes. But we have treated the Arab Countries poorly for a long time. That's in the past though, I think it's important to admit that and am glad Obama wants to move forward. Here's the REALLY touchy issue. It appears he's taking a slightly tougher stance with Israel. I am glad...the US also needs to act more fairly with the 2 sides.
