I went took a 4 km walk by a waterfall not too far from home today and during that course, 5 damn leeches attached themselves to me.  I hate the bloody things.

Wow, I guess Mpls St Paul isn't so bad then.  Here you just get people shaking you down for money.

Aaah, most folks know Phil Collins & Genesis - little are they aware that Peter Gabriel was the original vocalist.  And as soon as you show 'em some pics of Gabriel Slipperman, or Brittania, or Hogweed, they instantly assume Pete is a drug fiend............like I say, people are ignorant and narrow-minded.  I'd be more weary of the 'clean cut' looking folks that bash women and take crack............

It is awkward being asked what music you like. Blank faces when you say Dream Theater or even Porcupine Tree  and a host of other bands.

I guess the thing is that they don't know what it's about.  How do you respond to names like Caravan, Nektar, Ozric Tentacles, Van Der Graaf Generator, Spock's Beard - to name the more 'mainstream' bands when you're clueless on what they do.  Don't even bother mentioning Magma, Camel, Yezda Urfa.............just tell 'em it sounds like Pink Floyd and you get the  "oh, must be cool then " - everybody knows the Floyd

So this is the rant-room - I hate being constantly judged when I rattle off names of bands I'm into............some folks are so narrow-minded it's not funny.......
