I'm not so sure that Hogarth is entirely correct.  I went to see The Church recently and the audience was about 25% women, maybe more.  Same at the last Yes concert I attended.  Same with Floyd.

However, if Hogarth is correct in any way, and men take to prog more than women, it may not be a matter of "smarter," but rather that women tend to be more in touch with "emotion" while men tend to be more "intellectual" - overall.  Thus, music like prog - which has its "emotional" side but is still largely "intellectual" is nature - will necessarily appeal more to men, while women will be more drawn to music that has a more prevalent "emotional" value.

Peace.

I'll leave it to Mike to correct the spelling mistake in that one!

"don't be so pedantic" (guess who said that?) besides i wonder how many foreign languages you know.

anyway...wasn't this thread meant to be about women?

I'm starting to feel short changed....can I have my money back?

I won't bother to change it, because it will undoubtedly spark another error-prone response.

So how come you made two grammar mistakes in that little post of yours?
so where are the mistakes?
You don't seem to know articles. But anyway, this subject isn't really relevant...
where are those mistakes dammit? tell me what i have spelled wrong.

"Once I was on Beatles forum" .. That's one mistake right there. Where's the a ? And the another one is "I even won competition" , same thing with that.

You could also mention the lack of capital letters at the start of sentences.

What makes Hogarth think that Marillion fans have girlfriends?

...this one certainly hasn't...he got dumped last night...

If my memory serves me right, they attracted a substantial (although albeit brief) female following after they released 'Cover My Eyes', 'No-one Can' and 'Dry Land' as singles off Holidays...so you are absolutely right...not only does he know what to do, he has also done it before...(saints preserve us...)

I was only proving a point. You said you're English is as good as mine. A mistake is a mistake.

But as I said, it's irrelevant..

you're lucky that i'm lazy cos i'd check out your posts in search for mistakes. i'm sure i'd find couple. but let's not talk about it cos it becomes more and more pathetic.
