I remember your review, Robert, and agreed with it 100%... The album is good, but nothing like the second coming of prog that so many people seem to believe. And I prefer Deadwing anyway.

I almost do not consider the album prog at all. It's rock music (and that's okay by me, but still- not a masterpiece).

I will never understand why everyone thinks In Abstentia is a progressive masterpiece. Blackest Eyes sounds like a Breaking Benjamin song! |
Henry, have you read my review of that album ? I think it's everyone minus one ...

You need Richard Sinclair.
Pye Hastings' writing is sappy.

Rico, how is Maahan like Elixirs? And Maahan is their weakest. And I still haven't heard their new album. Gah! Oh and Alex: ESP > BF&tFT

On a more positive note (other than that the Rush lyric in question was funny enough to be listenable), For Girls Who Grow Plump In The Night was better than either ITLOAGAP or IICDIAOAIDIAOY.

Nonsense. IICDIAOAIDiAOY is better than ItLoGaP though.

I've heard the whole album you noob, and I will hold that it's not prog until the day I die.
Oh man, that was an intense twist. The parents set up the shooting to collect life insurance money on the kid! |
Yeah, I like how it waits until the end of the last scene to reveal that.
|
Which album is this? The Final Cut?
|
Not even close.

Fantastic is a bit of a stretch, but I did discover PT through that song being played on the MusicChoice alternative station quite a bit.
