There's a lot of sanity here.

Maybe I'll be a little sunnier tomorrow.

Yes, I will never be addressed by my first, or last name. Just JJ for some reason no one will get LOL

And professor.

Even I got a doctorate I would never want to be called Dr.

My 12th grade English/senior seminar teacher took a fairly big pay cut to step down from being principal to become a teacher again. I hope I made it worth his while. LOL

First time I've made a serious thread in years.

And all that is why I'm hoping to become a professor.
Better in every way than High School.
Its also the only "real" thing I actually want to do (I'll make music in the future, but not exactly banking on that working out...)

Indeed.  My mother was a support assistant and she never got paid for half-term either.  It sucks.  So big deal, you get 2 months off.  Trying living properly over those 2 months. Cry

No wonder the youth of today are such arseholes.

Funny, teachers here are so woefully underpaid it's sad.
I guess this is common everywhere? Cry

Yup.

And here we keep hearing "oh, you guys make so much money, oh you have 2 months vacation every year"

It's not vacation. I'm not paid for it.
