You know me well enough by now to know it was a joke and not intended as an insult.
I may be Clutching at Straws, but have no F.E.A.R, I'm not losing my Marbles. I just had a Misplaced Childhood that's all.

Deacon Blue in Prog Britannia? |
I had to change the description on my Prog Brtiannia channel just so I could include Deacon Blue and Prefab Sprout. I've always been a fan of those two bands, even though they're not remotely proggy. In fact, Prefab Sprout are more froggy than proggy, if their "King of Rock & Roll" video is anything to go by, which goes something like this.... "Hot dog, jumping frog, Albuquerque." I'll refrain from posting the video again as I already posted it on the previous page of this thread for Cristi. |
wait... what? What do I have to do with anything here? |
You questioned earlier whether U2 should be on my prog channel which is a fair point, and I mentioned that I used to have a grand total of two subscribers, but I lost one of those two subscribers when I added Deacon Blue and Prefab Sprout to my prog channel, which is hardly surprising.
|
It's your choice to have non-prrog in your Prog-Britannia thread, I disagree with a lot of things posted here, I did not say much, except for U2 which I thought was ridiculous to be mentioned here. That's all. |
To be fair though, adding U2 to my prog channel is probably not as ridiculous as adding Deacon Blue and Prefab Sprout. At least with U2, I had the excuse that I was running out of prog bands beginning with the letter "U".
|
I feel you are doing this thread for yourself rather than the rest of us. |
Well, I obviously wasn't doing it for you, but if there'd been no Prog Archives, then there'd be no Prog Britannia either.
On the other hand, if I WAS doing it for you, then Marillion would've been on my first A-Z list.
|
Obviously not me, i wasn't even thinking of that, but I still don't know for whom?!

Prog Britannia Five: A-Z Album Links Here's another band who aren't in ProgArchives, but at least Free are more closely related to prog than Deacon Blue. Then again, if you believe that Free shouldn't be included in Prog Britannia either, then I'll hand in my prog badge at the door on my way out.

By the way, I just added my fifth YouTube channel (Psych Britannia) only three days ago.
A-Z playlists of classic British Psychedelic Pop/Rock with completed albums in brackets:-
Arthur Brown; The Beatles; Cream; Dark; Edgar Broughton Band; The Flowerpot Men
Ginger Baker; Hapshash & the Coloured Coat; The Idle Race; Jody Grind; Kaleidoscope
Les Fleur de Lys; Mighty Baby; Nirvana; Octopus; The Pretty Things; Quintessence
Ramases; Simon Dupree & the Big Sound; Them; Unicorn; Velvett Fogg; The Who
The Yardbirds; The Zombies

That may well be because I've never uploaded any videos to YouTube. I have thousands of album playlists across five channels, but no video uploads whatsoever.

By the way, I was a bit delayed with adding Jim Capaldi, Dave Mason & Steve Winwood to my prog channel as they all got held up in Traffic.
