What an awesome evening of MTG!

I won a few games, and lost a few games.

Almost all the games I won were due to Hornet Queen (one or both) and/or Terastodon being on the battlefield Wink.

I'm starting to see how I really do enjoy those token-generating cards, and a few of my extra big-brute cards (I have two Terra Stompers in my deck, which I now see as completely redundant) are kind of pointless. I've got the mana ramp thing down, and my blue spells are on point!

I need me some Hornet's Nests! Can you imagine targeting those with my own 8/8+ creatures?! LOL

Preparing for some Saturday Night Magic at my kitchen table.

Time to debut Terastodon and unleash the green/blue overwhelm LOL.

Ah ok, so I have been playing it right then! I was trying to avoid an embarrassing moment on my first public FNM game. Thanks for clearing that up!

You can use it immediatly after you cast it, artfacts don't have summoning sickness like creatures. There are some artifacts that you can only use/equip only when you can play a sorcery, like this one:

Totally understandable, and I'm glad I'm not the only one! LOL

Question about artifacts; do you pay the upper right cost to cast it, then have to wait a turn to pay the rest to equip or use it? Here's an example of one I'm currently running in my overwhelm green/blue deck:

That's normal: I only noticed that when someone played that card on one of my creatures. There was a serious debate about that card's rules LOL

The main weakness of my aura deck are cards that make me sacrifice my creatures because I don't usually have many creatures on the battlefield and auras with Totem Armor don't save creatures from sacrifice. But now I have more creatures on my deck to prevent it.

^See? That's why I love threads like this. I'm still so new to the game, I wouldn't have even noticed that! LOL

Fortunely those cards don't cancel the enchantments effects on the creature, only the creature itself Tongue

With lots of auras attached to it, but those are the ones that really boost the creatures:

^Great cards!

How exactly do you go about getting that 1/1 Invisible Stalker up to 50/50?! Shocked

That Sigil is an excellent enchantment!

I had the 4 vs 4 that I mencioned the other day and I played many 8 player games with no teams. My aura deck is surprisingly strong on those games because, since there are a lot of players to attack, I have time to build my battlefield and for exemple, once I have an Invisible Stalker with 50/50 and lifelink or make copies of Serra Avatar every turn, I finish them all LOL
This card is great too on those games:

Since you're using green with tokens, do you know this card?

Sweet Nissa, that is an excellent card! Thank you for bringing that to my attention! I have yet to grace the world of multiple opponents; it looks daunting. I'd imagine it gets quite confusing when there are tokens all over the battlefield LOL.

What's the biggest (most players at once) game of MTG you've ever played/seen?

Awesome awesome AWESOME!

I must admit, I really enjoy the combo of green/blue. I love the "overwhelm" archetype green provides, and the "insurance policy" type effects that blue affords. Something about having those negate/cancel instants in my hands while my opponent tries to clear the board LOL.

Another thing I've been reading on MTGSalvation is the use of pretty much anything as tokens - including homemade printouts glued to cards, etc. I think that's really, REALLY cool. My gf was trying to argue with me during a heated game (when I was flooding the field) that "You shouldn't be able to play tokens if you don't actually have them!"; I knew that was bs, and I'm glad I looked online LOL.

Many will argue that that's a cheap way to play, but I couldn't disagree more. The black cards have the cheapest shots IMHO, with your cards getting exiles, opponent getting +1 life for every creature in your graveyard, lifelink everywhere, etc. We just got a new card in a booster yesterday, of which my gf readily swapped into her deck after I was decimating game after game:

I'll see you on the field with my swarm of bees, wolves, elephants - and several negates/cancels, bitches! LOL

It certainly does Big smile
I like the Morph ability because I played my first MTG game with an Onslaught deck from the guy who taught me how to play. There's nothing like the first game Tongue

Tarkir, that's right! I'm going to forget that word by the time I'm done making this post, lol.

That sounds awesome! My gf and I were talking about how we bet there's going to be a whole host of new combo-like cards coming out with this one. What are the benefits of the Morphing ability? Is that like the Turn to Frog type thing?
