I'm still keeping my eyes open for a copy of The Hurting. But it seems I've fallen into a bad habit. I go looking for a specific title, and as I review the 'other' titles a seller has I end up with a list of 5 or 10 LP's, mostly to try and make the purchase worth my while and at 5 LP's most sellers will wave the shipping fees.

I pretty well use the same setting to compare; I like my treble on full, my loudness button on, and bass at about 2 o'clock ALWAYS. If it isn't that way, I become pretty dissatisfied pretty quickly......

SIGH ! Stern Smile
Luckily it didn't cost much.

EDIT (1.5Hr later)
Just playing the Tears For Fears now and it is Minty Mint !!!
Not surprised on Trilogy, finding any ELP records better than VG is almost impossible. I have multiple copies of each and best I can get is VG/VG+. Those records were played to death it seems......

Dang, an OG Tears in NM is great!! They run $75 about...

^ Great records......I have:
Now and Zen-Over all a great listen, really good songs on that one.
Saga-I originally bought that on cassette (still have it) and several yrs ago found a NM vinyl. I'm a big Saga fan, the recent reissues are excellently done.
Tears For Fears-A brilliant album. I have CD, cassette and the 2014 reissue sounds pretty good, side II sounds awesome. Is that an OG pressing?

CD output is much higher than your cartridge, your CD player is probably around 2V output and a MM cartridge is about 4-5 mV (depending on brand), hence why you need a phono preamp to get it up to line level.

If you want to truely A/B then you should use a DB meter (app on your phone is fine) to level match the volume output. I just turn down the volume when playing CDs by ear.

I have a copy and want to value it for my list.

Unofficial releases are hard to value, I would just keep searching the WWW for copies or info. Maybe $2 maybe it's $200......?

See the thing with mine is its kinda damaged..so I only get both speakers working if it's on a VERY specific volume.. I haven't messed around with EQ, though it could probably use it on my copy of Tubular Bells
The Wheel of Time Turns, and Ages come and pass. What was, what will be, and what is, may yet fall under the shadow.
