Tanz was my favorite for many years, but lately Yeti has taken over.  Yeti is much more aggressive, and maybe better for it.  Tanz is an effort to piece together elaborate suites from a variety of musical themes, and though that helps it scream "prog!", the years of listening to it have revealed the seams and flaws.  But it's still a very close second to Yeti for me.  I'd classify it as a more introverted counterpart to the more overt physicality of Yeti.

Back to Duul for now : I listened to Yeti last night.....

As for Amon Duul "Vortex", I've only listened to it a couple of times and couldn't find a lot of good things about it.  It's been a long time since I heard it.

I got the CD for $2 off ebay several months back, only spun it briefly at the time, but am about to launch into giving it a proper listen. I seem to recall it was quite electronic and metallic? I thought it sounded very different for them, not sure if I liked it either. One of the albums I've played the most of the listed above has to be Galactic Supermarket. I think I prefer it over the selftitled debut tbh. What a gem! Love everything about it. Also includes one of the most unlikely of Schulze performances ever, and I just love it.
