That's more or less what my wife said just before the first prog curry.
"but they could all be axe murderers!"
Er...

Its all right Jim, I'll promise that both me and my imaginary friend Ralph will stay away...
... unless of course you're planning on enriching his shag-pile with the blood of a mountain goat you'll have sacrificed on the dining room table...
in which case, we'll both turn up in our grass skirts and appease the Rain God's anger with our karaoke machine...

Other stuff: hasn't the boy Murray done good up to yet? CSN were on pretty spiffing form at Glasto, as were The Specials. I really need a new power drill.
Oh, and welcome back Steve & Jared.

Congrats Chris (and Mrs Chris).
I'm still trying to work out the connection between The Specials and needing a new power drill.

Spiffing news, Christopher - the flat-warming is when exactly?

...and a bench vertical drilling rig and a set of masonry drills if you're in a flat , lots of fixtures and fittings to put up - have a noisy weekend, chris!
the advantage of living in a flat is that they are easy to heat, and you're not going up and down stairs all day. two bedrooms is a nice touch - well people argue, don't they? when i was sharing a one-bedroom flat my only option during a "battle" was ...the greenhouse. i got so accustomed to spending nights in there i installed a comfy chair and called myself a tomato plant ..
the main disadvantage is space - when you run out of floor space the only way is up, so that masonry drill then comes in very handy...
as for tennis i rarely watch it (only with the sound off, there is nothing much to hear except the anguished screams and grunts of the players...it's a tough life poor things), Murray is a scot and as he has previously stated if he wins wimbledon it will be for Scotland not Britain - so i will enjoy seeing him get "Rogered"....
Murray - the Scotch git's going to get Rogered

Surely Chuck Norris is better than interchangeable chucks?Great news, Chris. I think it's partly due to being "indoors" though. I expect him to beat Ferrero.

If Ferrero wins will he go ro the ambassador's ball?
I'll get m'coat
Congratulations,Chris.Hope all goes well for the impending move.
Make sure you know where the kettle is when you arrive at your new house/flat.Removal men can drink their own weight in tea.

Why the move? I wouldn't be entirely comfortable giving a full & frank explanation to that one in a public forum, I'm afraid... suffice it to say that things have been 'difficult' of late... |
...no explanation necessary Jared, hope your new post goes goes well!

its just a pity that she had such a knuckle crunching grip...
