I voted for Gabriel (please don't kill me!) It's not that he can't sing, it's just that without instruments backing him up, I dont think would sound very good.

Either way Mr.Lee get way too much critisism on this

credit is due. |
oh sure you'd be a fool to criticize his bass playing... but if Jon
Anderson is under the gun at PA's for his vocals amoung many... you'd
better believe Geddy would as well hahahhahaha. Besides Geddy isn't the
only 'lead' bass player to sing as well. Try the true and
original 'lead' bassist and great voices of rock... Jack Bruce.

I agree! Listened to Live Scenes from New York - half the performance was out of tune. Portnoy for DT vocals!

Saw James and the boys live 4 days ago, and I thought his vocal performance was excellent. Best I've heard from him.

Roger waters. I can't stand with his voice. So good that Gilmour saves 'Shine on" alive.
But my main complaint is about Bernardo Lanzetti, or whatever surname this guy has. he was the guilty for the destruction of PFM.

Peter Gabriel fits both ends of the spectrum extremely good and extremely bad ( back in NYC) .Steve Howe got my vote.
Worst performance throughout an entire album goes to Phil Collins on Invisible Touch. What on earth was he thinking?

Loving the justification.
... Oh, right, the poll.
Ok, here's what I think. It is my belief that a live James LaBrie has the worst voice in prog.
That statement gets me in trouble though, because I am a gigantic Dream Theater fan and I absolutely love his voice in the studio.
But I'm also a realist. And live....
Also, for some reason, I don't like the vocals in the band Glass Hammer. Couldn't tell you why, though. I just don't.
Have a nice day! |
I voted for James Labrie a bit earlier in this thread. I completely agree with you.

I thought about LaBrie... but don't we expect that standard of vocals from our metal vocalists.
