eMusic's labels were always kind of crazy. I've picked up some hard copies of some of the albums that I bought off of eMusic, but for the most part the digital copies are all that I have. Although, I have burned many of these to CD-r's so that I would have a physical copy. Sadly, I find that I don't really listen to the CD-rs that I made though, since when I do listen to those albums it is usually just on the iPod or the computer.

Yeah, it's neat. I like how accessible it makes the music. And cheap. I grabbed two Magma albums, a Guapo album, a Miles Davis album, and all but two tracks from the Crooked Fiddle Band's new album for just the cost of my trial amount, and any one of those albums would likely have cost more as a CD. It's a compelling argument for switching from hard copy to physical, and I may give it a try.
Still, I've tried digital before, and even with free downloads I usually end up buying a hard copy sooner rather than later. We'll see what happens with these guys.
Interestingly, E-music has the crooked fiddle band labelled as reggae, when they seemed more like celtic rock/folk to me based on what I've heard before.

So, a buddy of mine sent me an e-music trial subscription. I get $9.80 in free credit with it, and Magma albums range from $0.50-$5 because they are $0.50 a track. I am tempted to just clean up, even though they are mp3s. Either that or get some Secret Chiefs 3.
If I spent as much money on music as I do now but only bought mp3s at these prices, my collection would be at least twice as large. This is crazy. |
I had an emusic account for 2 or 3 years and downloaded a ton of albums from there. I had a subscription that gave me 90 downloads per month. They changed their suscriptions though and I think I was only going to get 50 or 60 downloads for the same price so I cancelled my account. It was probably still better than buying from Amazon or iTunes, but it kind of irked me.

inorite I almost didn't watch the game because I assumed they'd get raped but honestly, regardless of what the outcome might have been that was just good football.

Is it odd that a score of less than 50% is good enough to qualify for university? Either way, doesn't matter. Congratulations Marco.
