Presence, the whole things is great, though Achilles Last Stand is easily the best. Then it's tough, probably Physical Graffiti. But I need to get back into my old Zepp albums, it's been too long since I've listened to anything besides Achilles.

Houses of the Holy, which I actually didn't like at first, closely followed by II and VI. They're actually all great except for the very last one, but those 3 really stand out for me.

Houses or Graffiti or III or IV...can't decide. | It's a toss-up between those for me too. The four middle ones (if you don't count Coda as proper studio album, which I don't) are their best and most proggiest albums IMO.
Having a hard time choosing my absolute favourite though, but if you're putting me on the spot I would have to say IV. Black Dog, Stairway and When the Levee Breaks. Say no more!
Oh, but Houses has got No Quarter, The Rain Song and The Ocean, PG's got Kashmir, The Rover and In the Light, and III's got Immigrant Song, Out on the Tiles and Tangerine. No, I can't decide either. Too damn hard!

I absolutely love everything up to and including Physical Graffiti. My favorite is III. It's something about the feel of that album, i don't know...

would be great, but i suspect we'd argue over which ones to leave off.
my least fave tracks on PG are sick again, black country woman, boogie with stu.
even with those lesser tracks its myfavourite zep album.

Led Zeppelin's all albums are great. but my favourite is Physical Graffiti, a truly masterpiece. Then comes Led Zeppelin III and House of the Holy.

Making up a compilation by cherry picking my favourite tracks from all their albums is the closest I would ever get to handing out 5 sparklies for anything they've done. At their best Zep conspire to wed metrical sophistication and unprecedented harmonic flavours to time-worn blues artifacts. (and I agree that is laudably progressive in every sense of the word) At their worst they sound like cock rock for the impotent.

this is tough, I really like all of their albums. But I think I'm going with IV, III or Houses of the Holy.
