Off topic but I feel some words should be said about Nirvana.
First, I am not suggesting anyone to go kill himself. Second, I do not claim Nirvana to be a top notch band (see my list above to see who I claim to be amazing).
Yet,   at the time Nirvana did make something fresh and enjoyable. I suggest all of us judge the music and not the person who made it. In the quite boring mainstream of 90's music Nirvana was realy a change for the good.
Oh, and I also hate those American - pie movies !

I know everyone has their opinion, and i dont mean to put yours down.

But as far as nirvana goes, i  dont see how anyone could immortalize a man for killing himself.  I mean for god sakes, he hated being famous, so freaking get out of the music industry.  It was stuff like nirvana that started the "emo" faze. im sure of it.

I understand emotion, and how it plays a major role in musicality.  But there comes a point where it goes to far. And kurt coban was a prime example of someone who was full of themselfs and thought someone should care (though he played it off like he wanted to be alone and sad) about his problems.  I mean, i read in a guitar magizine recently that "Smells like teen spirit"  mad #1 song in the 90's/  That damn terd of a song made #1.  It sucked.  Talking about teens, and teen this and teen that.  That is so stupid, making teens out to be something, great.  Thats why i hate all those american pie movies.  Anyway, this has truned to far into a rant thats going off subject.

Nirvana = lame

First off, let me say this.  Every sense i was a young boy, though i didnt know it at the time, i have been influenced by progressive rock bands.  My dad always had prog music around, so it was nothing new to me. But, as i got a little older and became a teenager, I, sadly got caught up in the piece of crap grunge & punk rock scene.

It wasnt untill a foreign exchange student from finland gave me a sonata arctica cd, that i changed my horrible ways.  Whene i heard their song "My land"  that very night i went home and burned every last piece of crap nirvana album and punk albums i owned.  That band reignited my pashion for prog, and sent me on a journey to fufill my everlast thirst for more.  Which i why i would like to share with you, my top 10 favorite prog rock bands.

10. The Frost
9. The flower Kings
8. Spocks Beard
7. Planet X
6. Symphony x
5. Dream Theater
4. Jethro Tull
3. Return to forever
2. Kanses
1.Yes
