You sure don't like high voices!
I would choose the guitarist of NightwishThe band is cool and their lead female singer is great, but that guy should be struck by the Silent Man

Two daughters, as far as I know.

OMG!.... anyone have any pics hahahhahah. Granted I love women with large noses but.....

Unfortunately, I haven't. Both Geddy AND his wife are Jewish, so I guess the ladies will have INCREDIBLY LARGE noses indeed
(no offense intended, BTW!)

You guys are racists. Im an Israeli Jew and I don't have a long nose! only about this size:

hahahha... well I for one own a large (though not quite as long ) crooked nose (broke it in the service and never had it set) and married a beautiful women with a......distinctive nose .
Besides I'm not a racist just a amateur comedian with a bad sense of
humor. Though I still would love to see a pic of Geddie's
spawn... I bet they are hot.

it turned to "Why I don't like James LaBrie" thread - come on guys, Dream Theater are believed by mainstream critics to be one of the most "really progressive" contemporary bands.
Not that we care for mainstream critics.

He's basically your casual nu-metal vocalist, but he's in a prog band,

James LaBrie, no question. When DT aren't playing something heavy, he turns it into emo. Reasonably good when singing metal, awful when singing anything else.

I agree to some extent. In Awake, for instance the heavy parts are outstanding, (The high screaming in Voices, Caught in a Web, etc.. Wow..)
But after his food poisoning in 94 it seems he has lost the ability to scream well. But he sings clean beautifuly, listen to A Change of Seasons, he sings fantastic. Although on Train of Thought, the heavy parts are just pathetic in my opinion. Infact the whole album has pretty weak vocals IMO....
The worst vocalist ever is Rod Tyler, the first vocalist of Symphony X... on their debut album the vocals are just HORRID.... He sounds like a 14 year old that has some kind of spiky cactus down his throat...

Hm, well since Geddy's parents were Polish Jews I should defend my compatriot....
It is getting more and more interesting, we should bash Fish, cause he's Scottish (Slainte Mhath)

it's funny how the littlest thing can turn you off of something.... I
can't stand many modern prog groups for... the sound... it sounds so
clean.. so overproduced. Specifically the guitar. I like the
'dirty' vintage sounds of 70's prog/rock in general. For the
reason.. and really that alone I forsake an entire branch of prog.. and
really don't think I'm missing anything considering it will take...
forever hahahha... for me to reach Erik or ANDREW's album collections
of the great 70's prog groups from across the non-English spectrum.

I like his distinctive voice.. what's even more fun that kidding about
his voice is watching the ultrasensitive Rush fans circle the wagons
and cry about it hahahhahah. It's all in fun.
