Not sure if it's prog, but I love this photo of a blues legend (Eric Clapton) watching Joni Mitchell playing with her weird tunings and self-created chords and trying to work out wft she's doing. Apparantly he was sat there for a whole afternoon LOL

And another one of some of the Laurel Canyon residents

So many fantastic photos here, but I'd like to single out this one:

Both are wonderful people!!

Thank you for that! Now trying to imagine how this young chubby lad came up with labyrinthine, blasphemous Schizoid Man passages some ten years later... Very captivating picture, so different from today.

Now that you metioned it, does anyone know what happened to this guitar? Like, did it go for auction or something? He played it in such a way it sounded like a 12-string most of the time. Probably one of the best acoustic guitar models ever built (and of course we see one of the best players LOL too).

This guitar was built on purpose by Tony Zemaitis for Greg Lake in 1976, but reality is that Greg never really liked its sound, and one day he lost his temper and smashed it. His favourite acoustic guitar was always the Gibson J-200.
For many years people kept asking him about "the heart guitar" and eventually he asked Gibson to build him a customized J-200 inspired by the Zemaitis "heart". Here we see him with both versions

This is one of the many curiosities I talk about in my book "The Musical Instruments of Progresive Rock; An Illustrated Guide"
