I haven't, but I'm one of the two, it seems, who reviewed it with 5 stars, so I express my solidarity here... Sartori in Tangier and Neil and Jack and Me would be well worthwhile, but then 5 KC-songs are very hard to pick. (I guess I'm the only one who picked two from Three of a Perfect Pair.)

You're right. I do tend to prefer the mellower songs, especially when it comes to King Crimson and Van der Graaf Generator. My prediction is that Ashes Are Burning will win my latest Renaissance poll, although I could be wrong again.

I know that you and I have somewhat different tastes, based on your choice of VdGG tracks. It seems to me that your taste in music is more sedate than mine. |

No, I know how to behave in the restaurant now, I don't tear at the meat with my hands. If I've become a man of the world somehow, that's not necessarily to say I'm a worldly man.

I don't. Although I do seem to do well at predicting the winner and other high-scorers of particular polls, that's not necessarily because they are among my favourites. I think my tastes are fairly close to the consensus view, although there are definite differences also. For example, the consensus would regard Genesis as overwhelmingly preferable to Van der Graaf Generator, whereas I'm clearly in the minority in my strong preference towards Van der Graaf Generator. And apart from particular tracks which I like a lot, I do not consider myself to be a fan of King Crimson. |

I haven't got around to listening to King Crimson's Beat album yet. I only listened to their first eight albums recently so I could pick my eight songs for the Make Your Own King Crimson Album thread. I never expected Starless to win this poll. I was expecting Epitaph to win, but then I always expect my favourite song to win any poll, even though my favourite songs rarely do win any polls.

It would seem that I'm the only one with two tracks from Beat in my top 5, or even one track.

Your comment leads me to believe that ALL of those songs are from the Red album.
