! I think...

1. I listen to prog and managed to get women to like it and still love me.

2. I got hired and get paid a fortune to be allowed to roam around the PA as soon as I get a minute, and I manage to get a lot of those minutes.

3. I managed my obsessions to become even more obsessive, but being able to do them all within an evening (sex, wine drinking, prog listening, reading and smoke the fat Jamaican cigar)

4. I generally succeed to avoid looking or sounding superior by integrating jeans & Tees at work and making below-the-belt remarks, yet one of my job duties is to get across complicated safety rules to people that do not want to know them.

5. I managed to scrape up four items to get to this fifth one, and still sound intelligent enough to get accepted on this terribly arrivist and arrogant club.

ON a different subject, all this talk of string theory is nonsense - even the M-string theorists don't know what they're talking about. Pocket universes, my foot - there aren't any in my pockets, and anyway, that's like saying the film "Sliding Doors" is a true-to-life documentary: Everyone knows that it's safe to assume that the Spanish Inquisition is now over - and that is the only factual part of the whole film, and hence part of my unified theory of everything.

The universe, sorry, this universe didn't start with a big bang - it was some guy in a previously existing universe who'd just finished building a massive supercomputer capable of simulating entire universes in a virtual reality field, and he dropped the exploding particle in as a joke, to give any life-forms capable of observation something to keep them occupied so they'd constantly be looking in the wrong places for all the answers.
