I've saw them in a music store which is really quite the basics, and it really surprised me. Though there weren't much, 2 or 3, though from the cover I can re-call that they were quite the classics they name here

Tangerine Dream is kinda tough because they have 50+ albums and it depends on the person entirely on which introductory album would be better.

I could try though, haha. Some albums are usually more universally representative (Phaedra, Rubycon, Stratosfear, Force Majeure) than others.

Haha, I understand, but at the same time I don'tConfused Electronic Prog isn't supposed to be all the sameWinkEmbarrassed

I've seen *checking artist page cover-works* Stratosfear and I think Phaedra and/or Rubycon..

Which would be the most accesible, or at least most rewarding from first listens?

(I've heard only one Electronic Prog album which is in Kraut, Blackouts by Ashra, love it, it's pretty dreamy, and love the climax, that might give you some rough idea for what you can recomend me)Embarrassed

Yikes. Hmm.... If you want something that's more cold, go with Phaedra or Rubycon (Rubycon being slightly lighter). It's still extremely emotional though (in a good way); that's just the best way I can describe it.

Stratosfear continues from what those two albums established, only it makes it a bit more melodic and Symphonic. You can almost tell what the music is going to feel like though from the covers for these albums especially, and this is no exception.

Force Majeure has some of Froese's best guitar work, and the pieces are very good there too.

If you want something completely different... a bit more modern and accessible, try Underwater Sunlight. For me it's really good, but not AS good as the other ones---it makes up for that in accessibility though.

There are a few others that would be good too: Tangram, Logos, Poland.

You got the Heep, but not the Purps!?Angry

Anyways, glad you like Heep at leastWink

I'm an absolute Deep Purple n00b. I figure I'll get an album one day, but they have never really attracted me at all. I'm not into that sort of music as much as I used to be, and even then I was never too much into Uriah Heep, Deep Purple, etc.

When it comes to the heavier stuff, I like Rush, Porcupine Tree, Mars Volta, etc. If I do ever get one DP album though, which do you think I should get?

It seems you prefer the guitar-oriente heavy stuff, rather than organ-oriented heavy stuff...

Hmm... maybe... Never thought about it that way.

ONE?! Come on Alex, you know that's an impossible answer, it's if I were to ask you which album of Rush should I buy, but I'll buy only one...Wink

Haha, that's true. Okay. Where should I start? Wink

Hmm... Have you heard the different singers? At least Coverdale and Gillan? If so, which do you preferTongue It makes it a lot easier...

I have no idea, haha.

I would say like Finnforest said, Made in Japan, it captures their whole live hype, and a good bunch of classics are there.
Not sure if the double-disc is expensive or not, or the other way round, the single-disc, though. Buy the cheapest, they're really the sameTongue

Okay. Thanks!

I'd go for Made in Japan, but I'm no DP expert.
