My pleasure Steve
Always nice to see some bright sunny spots on the horizon when everything seems so doomy and dark. Music is a wonderful source of light methinks.

Well, David, I had a listen to Vier yesterday afternoon. Your description of Perfect Beings being a combo of Yes and XTC was very close to the mark. The vocal harmonies at times made me swear I was listening to Squire.

Anyhow, very enjoyable, so thanks. I will explore the others in the course of the week.

That is rough and not something I think anyone can prepare for.
At least though they aren’t stranded on some cruise ship in the mediterrenean.
Here’s hoping for a quick recovery
All the best from Denmark my dear Cosmic lawnmower

Let's hope it tastes sh*te.

It's not like there's any actual shortage of milk

I prefer tea without milk anyway, but as a household that has bought a lot of baby milk over the last few years I'm pretty sure her tea is gonna be totally sh*te.

Lots of prayers to you and your family.......I had a slight scare 3 days ago with a family member having fever. Turned out the fever is a result of an abscess tooth, but yes it was scary.

Yeah, we know.

Hopefully people will read my entire post and not just what you posted, which contributes to fake news. Your opinion and my opinion, just deal with it and relax.

Best wishes to them and you. Love being sent.

I know it must be difficult, but all the evidence points towards full recovery in persons their age.

Wish them a full recovery. A couple of hours ago, I read that a woman infected with COVID-19 gave birth to a fully healthy baby. Hope that will be the same for your daughter and her prospective birth.

Last night the governor of Pennsylvania ordered all non-life-sustaining businesses to shut down. The university I work at has closed (as much as it can, somebody has to still feed the horses and cows) and I've completed a week of working at home. I actually think I'm getting more done at home than I do at work even though my laptop is slower than the PC at work. We now have two confirmed positive tests in the county. It's here now (and probably has been for a bit). No news yet of a possible "shelter in place" order like they have in California.

Some promising news about hydroxychloroquine (an old anti-malaria drug from the 1950s) and remdesivir being effective against COVID-19. Obviously more research is needed, but it's good to hear this.

I was watching that briefing when he said that, he said it multiple times and not only was he right but it was funny.....But yea they were too close, and now they are sitting much further apart which is better.

My position is still the same on testing. If you show zero symptoms don't ask for a test, if you get a fever and cold like symptoms then call ur dr and follow their instructions which might include a Covid test if you are certain you came in contact with an inflected person. Isolate yourself if u get sick or a fever.......For the rest of us wash your hands and keep eating healthy.

BlessLOL

By the way, I think that it is important to admit when one is wrong, and I believe that I was wrong when I poo poohed your post regarding extensive testing. I think that you were right, and I apologise. My feeling now is that it would be remarkably handy to identify those who, for example, have had mild symptoms, without ever bothering anybody, and, as a result, have built up immunity. Such people could, of course, be deployed to undertake urgent work, and etc.

Meanwhile, back here in Blighty, they are talking about social distancing having to last the remainder of 2020. Nine whole months. Can you imagine? Personally, I really can’t see the good folk of GB putting up with that.

My cold was, thankfully, a 24 hour one of snivelling and piles of snot, but I feel a whole lot better today, so my feeling that it has merely been a cold was correct. I will, though, stay away from the pub for a little while. Not that the locals, in the main, in West Wales are taking a great deal of notice. Aside from lots of shopping, and working from home, for many, life is carrying on as normal.

My principle objection to all of this remains the horrible hysteria, generated mainly by the media, but also not helped by governments talking about “being at war”. Such situations never end well.
No worries Steve. I respect you way too much to think that it was anything more than your sound opinion. And it gave me pause to re-consider my post and think it over. Strangely, now I'm starting to feel that the barn door may have been open too long and that the horse may have run off. LOL  I just hope that things will work out for everyone.

Doubt very much there would be a stampede. OK isolated incidents might happen but the climate has been building towards a shutdown over the last few days so this is not a surprise.  Personally speaking, we're good for the next 10 days or so. No point stocking up beyond that as we don't have huge homes for the most part in India and food stuffs deteriorate without refrigeration due to the heat.
