Finally got most of my collection in one space and somewhat organized. I still need a few more bins for albums and I have at least 250-300 more CD's that need a home. But my listening room is coming along.

So this is my reason for checking out albums labels. I got this small art easel for christmas to display my 'Now Playing' albums. I want to attach a vinyl LP to it for when nothing is playing but I want it to look cool, not just empty. I've used the DSOTM for this pic, but have several others I'm thinking of using. I plan to put the words 'Now Playing' in the bottom edge lip in black diecut vinyl letters.

And I just pulled this one out of my collection. I wonder what the first coloured vinyl really was. This one has to be mid / late 50's I would think.

(there's means to this madness)

I like for instance Charisma's Small Mad Hatter label like on The Lamb UK OG:

Not me. I've made over 2K in the last year selling CD's on Discogs. But you have to have the offbeat discs. Can't do it selling Aerosmith, or Taylor Swift. Box sets sell well.

A little off topic, but out of interest I thought I'd post.
As I continue my Media Collection administration I've been checking on actual value of my CD's. I put a placeholder of $13 on each one until I ascertained a more realistic value. I'm working on Keith Emerson's solo stuff right now and have been pleasantly surprised so far as they show a value of around $60 each for some titles. But this one really surprised me.

So who says CD's don't have resell value??
  • Last Sold: 24 Sep 23
  • Lowest: CA$67.00
  • Median: CA$125.96
  • Highest: CA$184.92

Nice pickup!

I received the new live Porcupine Tree album a week or so back. (Thanks to someone in this thread for convincing me to buy it! WinkEmbarrassed) I also sniped a fairly cheap OG copy of Magma Attahk!!!!!! Only 10$ on discogs and in fairly good condition.
My PT~ Live showed up yesterday in the mailbox....finally.

It sounds amazing!!!Clap
You speak the truth.....Sounds awesome!! I think of the ones I have Anesthetize sounds the best, Coma Divine and C/C are pretty close and I think Coma sounds amazing. Octane Twisted has the lowest sound quality to me...
