I will be honest, I can't stand Zep 1 except for Communication Breakdown. Zep 2 is good in parts, never really got into Zep 3, Zep 4 is a masterpiece obviously with Rock and Roll, Misty Mountain Hop and When the Levee Breaks, HOTH I need to check out again, PG is probably my favourite with Custard Pie, Kashmir, Trampled Under Foot, In my Time of Dying, In the Light, The Wanton Song and others. Presence is the underrated gem in their collection, I enjoy it start to finish and In Through the Out Door is fantastic, to my ears, Carouselambra and In the Evening are great. Coda is alright but more for Zeppelin fan-boys.
My List: Zep 4, Physical Graffiti(favourite), Presence and In Through The Out Door
Your definition of 'can't stand' differs slightly from my own! I can't stand Duran Duran except err nothing.
Well, what I mean by "can't stand" is that I'm just not a fan of blues-rock jamming, I'm more of a jazz guy anyway, but I enjoy Breakdown because it is a short and sweet hard rock tune

It's hard to pick a favorite, and mine has probably changed many times. But I think I might have to go with Houses of the Holy because of "The Song Remains the Same", "No Quarter", "Dancing Days", and "The Ocean" all being on it.
I didn't have a favorite..but I used to surf through Zeppelin III and IV more than the others. "The Battle of Evermore" was just an amazing ghostly type of song. Robert Plant shares the vocal with Sandy Denny and it is very haunting. I had heard tales for decades how Jimmy Page became interested in open tunings from Ireland and India. He seemed to combine old traditional European guitar tunings and composing pieces which were entirely acoustic and the first indication of this was with the Yardbirds when he recorded "White Summer" from the album "Little Games" Musicians often spoke of Jimmy Page and Sandy Denny attending art school together and I had been curious for years wondering if Sandy Denny had an impact on his taste in music. Perhaps he had a personal interest in European Folk guitar tunings prior to meeting her, but it seems that she would have influenced him because she was closely connected with Dave Cousins, Richard Thompson and others in the U.K. A lot of the acoustic playing of Page reminded me of what Fairport Convention and Pentangle were doing in the late 60's when Page was with the Yardbirds. Page was adding this influence to Zeppelin's music in a major way and he seemed serious about the style mastering some amazing technique...which is displayed on some live film footage of Led Zeppelin where Page performs ethnic styles on acoustic close to 10 minutes. He sits on a stool and takes this style seriously as if it may have been a seperate entity for him.

LZ IV because of When the Levee breaks, Stairway, Black Dog, Misty mountain hop and another great songs PG because of Rover, In the Light, Kashmir...
