I'm very impressed, bro.
You just had to release this now that I'm getting MY musical project underway. Talk about a hard act to follow. *gulp!* |
Noticed you had a page on the same website, and so I visited your myspace and listened to that demo you have there.
I have to say, the feeling is mutual. I couldn't help but focus on that great acoustic guitar (and my wife loved the drums, for what that's worth).

Wow. Really? That means a lot coming from you, man. I can only hope that my project will evolve into something worthy of your praise.
P.S. I just got through listening to the whole thing, and I must say, it is quite fantastic! I really enjoyed how the songs flowed, and I was never bored. Very good songwriting, my friend. And yes, I could hear a Squire-ish type of trebly bass sound here and there. Really cool!
So, when is your album getting added to the 'chives, then? I need to review it now!

| Part of that, to be fair, was me dragging my ass. But I wrote so many things that did not wind up on this album. The whole project evolved very slowly, but I'm pleased with the final result.
Would you believe the title track began with me dabbling in writing techno music?

I had wondered about that track... like I said Robert... was really impressed. How long did you work on that (apologizes if you said it somewhere and missed it)

I'm finishing this up now - Robert, I can't stress enough how impressed I am with this. Just very, very well done.

maybe on your next album you might enlist some Rickenbacker bass.... nothing puts the snap, crackle and pop into prog like an overdriven Rick
| If I had 3k, I'd splurge on a Parker Fly guitar. And if I had 3k more, I'd get a 4001.
In the meantime, you can loan me yours.
I did attempt to create my own version of that sound, particularly on the longest track. That's actually a Geddy Lee Fender Jazz bass run through a guitar processor (that features bass amp/cab modeling).

Robert... not my style ... not enough caterwauling Italian for my personal tastes hahhaha. But very...very good. No idea we had such a talent among us.... You'll be a FINE addition to the archives.

Robert, my first impressions are 100% positive. Your songwriting is outstanding. Anymore this particular style of prog isn't quite my cup of tea, but I can't see a lot of others around here not loving this.
