my favorite dead guy would probably be jean-nicolas arthur rimbaud but since he isnt a choice i have to go with the lizard king....yes the father of out of control rock and roll....the one...the only....mr.jim morrison....and yes it is totally wrong jerry garcia is not on this list...when will people stop judging that man and his accomplishments on the level of intelligence of his band's fanbase?

You forgot Keith Moon, John Entwistle, John Bonham, Jerry Garcia, and all of those classical composers.
Of the ones on the list, Zappa, then Hendrix, Harrison, Lennon, Cash,
Cobain, and Morrison. (I've actually visited Hendrix and Morrison's
graves recently. Hendrix's is in the middle of nowhere, almost nobody
was anywhere near there).

I only cried for dead artist on two occasions, the death of Freddie Mercurie and the death of Curt Cobain. Both hurt me very much.
Seems I already voted in this poll???? I would have voted for Freddie Mercurie.

BTW,
The fat chick with the Mamas and Papas was named Cass Elliot and the one blues guy who died in a helicopter was Stevie Ray Vaughn.
As far as who is my favorite it would have to be Jimi Hendrix followed by Vaughn. Both great guitarists who died too soon.

Zappa, with Morrison, Hendrix, Lane Staley (the Alice in Chains guy) and Dimebag Darrell making up the rest of the top five.
