I'm noticing a  pretty loose definition of 'prog' in some posts:

Tori Amos - pop rock (despite my love for her stuff and her proggy tendencies, she's a pop artist)
Residents - please
XTC - pop, alternative (again, my love for this band can't sway the fact that prog they aren't)
Roxy Music - pop
Fates Warning - metal (progressive metal every now and then, granted - still...)
Boards Of Canada - electronic/downtempo (the least progressive on this list - and again, I love this band)

That said, if the definition of prog is that open (and for me it's pretty open) my list would be:

Yes
Genesis
King Crimson
Jane Siberry
Radiohead
Stevie Wonder
Marillion
Percy Howard
Scott Walker (Tilt)
Talk Talk (Laughing Stock)
Listening since 1980

This is prog bands so I'm assuming no true fusion.

* Gentle Giant
* Genesis
* Pink Floyd
* Jethro Tull

[ no surprises so far]

* Caravan
* Curved Air
* FZ and the Mothers
* Gryphon
* Hatfield and the North
* Audience

[First emergency * Fruupp ]

Thread says 'My', so there's no accounting for some people's taste.
Looking still the same after all these years...
