Hello Justin4950834-2 , I agree with you although do understand why Queen is not necessary classified as prog (btw I love this band) however in terms of Progressive music I see no reason why this song is not classified as prog by many? Hugs to you

Just on the Kazoo solo itself I'd go with this.

Before I even started to listen to prog and more jazz, "Dhafer Youssef - Odd poetry" was one of my favorite tracks and still is. And nowadays, I think it fits very well into prog. I wonder why Dhafer Youssef is not added into the archiv? Because some of the musicians he worked together with are listened at PA.
Here is the song, the live version is better anyway in my opinion: |

Achilles Last Stand - Led Zeppelin
Child in Time - Deep Purple Queen II All choices that other people have mentioned (multiple times). I wish I could think of others but my brain doesn't want to work today.

Don't laugh: Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons- " Look Up, Look Over" from the Genuine Imitation Life Gazette album, most of which can be viewed as Progressive to one degree or another.

I always thought BOC's Secret Treaties was very proggish--especially the two strings of songs, "Subhuman-Dominance and Submission" and "Harvester of Eyes-Astronomy" (an effect that was contributed to by the fact that they bled one song into the other).

I find your mention of that particular BOC song very interesting, since I have always mantained that it is - in structure at least - a very prog-like song, and definitely an epic of sorts even if not as long as the classics of the genre. Generally, when mentioning BOC's prog-influenced songs, the usual suspects are the likes of "Seven Screamin' Dizbusters" or "Veteran of the Psychic Wars". |

Child in Time- Deep Purple
Golden Age of Leather- Blue Oyster Cult Innuendo- Queen March of the Black Queen- Queen I hesitate to add Queen, as their second album (my favourite of theirs) is almost entirely prog.

On the basis on some posts, I'm assuming were talking about "prog" in the sense of song length and more complex song structure than what the band is usually putting out? I have a load of favorites in that regard:
Black Mages - Dancing Mad (one could argue that they are prog though, since the writers main influence is ELP) Alcest - Lą oł Naissent les Couleurs Nouvelles Wintersun - Sons of Winter and Stars Pathfinder - Beyond Space, Beyond Time Deep Purple - Child In Time Led Zeppelin - Stairway to Heaven Uriah Heep - July Morning Manowar - Bridge of Death Moonsorrow - Viides luku hävitetty (Thick as A Brick-esque one song one album) And probably some others that I missed. I was listening to my ipod on the way to work and heard something I'd not heard before and thought 'that was pretty proggy' I was able to see that it was a Dandy Warhols song but I didn't catch the name.
