Hmmm I seem to remember talking to you about the Dune album which features vocals from Arthur Brown. So does the live album from 80 and Time Actor, which is released under the pseudonym of Richard Wahnfried, but it's still Schulze. For pure 80s releases, then I'd definitely go for Audentity. I adore that thing. I recently bought it vinyl, and it made me fall back in love with it. It's a much more computerised Schulze, but his genius remains the same. (Oh and if haven't heard X yet, then I strongly recommend that as well. It's from 79, but what the hell). |
Oh yeah, Time Actor - I have that one. And I have heard X, it's X-cellent. Haven't heard Dune yet. I'll make a note of Audentity.

Funny how some things are. I was on a major Schulze kick earlier in the summer. If I'm in the mood for electronic music atm then I reach for some crazy sh*t like Syrinx' Long Lost Relatives (if you ever come across this album, then you owe yourself at least a listen. NOTHING sounds like it!.......and it's good) or conversely something more modern like Burial. |
Syrinx... gotcha. I'll keep an eye out.

I have La Vie Electronique vol 6, and it's a real stunner. Frankly speaking, I don't think I've heard anything remotely sub-par from Schulze's 70s oevre. |
I've been thinking the same thing. How well does the quality extend beyond the 70s? Any particulars I should check out first? And as for Anima Sound, That's a new one to me too. Sounds gnarly, must check out.
